Thrifty Finds: Fall Clothes

Finally I'm getting to the bottom of my thrifting photos! These are some cozy fall pieces that were begging me to take them home:
I haven't actually tried them yet... (oops!) But I'm sure they will fit! I can't wait to mix them up with some fun fall layers! What are your fall fashion staples?

Vintage Dresses!

A couple of weeks ago I nannied for a boy across the street while his parents were out of the country. It was an adventure, especially since I had Lila with me! But he is an awesome kid and we had lots of fun. Anyways, his Mom works with vintage clothes as a hobby... so of course, we got to talking about vintage! She explained that she is probably getting out of the business and she has a bunch of clothes she won't be able to sell... so she gave me a few things! Woo-hoo! I was so thrilled! Check these out:
I tried them on immediately after taking these photos, and they fit so perfectly! She didn't even know what size I was, she just looked at me and said "these will fit you!" Wow. I am so inspired!
The fabrics are so lovely, and I can tell that they are in general a higher quality than clothing manufactured these days! So to sum up, I am officially hooked on vintage!
I feel so posh wearing these. They look a lot neater on me than on the hangers! I can't wait to show you!

Do you have any vintage dresses? Where did you get them?

Thrifty Finds: Knick Knacks

Remember the thrifting trips I went on when I found these shoes? Well here are some other awesome knick knacky things I found as well! What is this thing called, a potholder?
It needs a little wipe down, but other that than it is in near perfect condition! Obviously I don't have a kitchen to use it in right away, but little purchases like this keep me motivated and inspired for when I get my own place!
I couldn't resist a magical cat book for fifty cents! I adore the pictures in this, too.
Does this count as granny squares? I don't see why not! Anyways, I have been ogling other blogger's granny square quilts that they scored thrifting, and I've been dying for some of my own! I have to admit I don't love the colors of this one, but it is still pretty and fun to look at!
Some awesome pieces of lace - the big ones on the bottom are curtains and the others are doily-type thingies. When I picked out the big curtain I thought it was just one, but I didn't realize there were actually three each priced separately! I didn't even notice till I got home and looked at the receipt! Oops!
I am also starting a collection of milk glass for my future apartment. One of these used to be a bath salts container and still smells lovely! I have a few more vases in storage... can't wait to see them all on display!

Also, that pretty background is a piece of fabric I bought on that trip! I am so happy with how these photos turned out!

Have you found anything fun lately? What is your favorite thing to look for when you go thrift shopping?

Thrifty Finds: Fall Shopping

I actually made two different thrift runs last week; one St Vinny's on my side of town, then the next day I just had to go to the one on the other side of town, which is literally at least three times as big. I am so glad I made that second trip because I found these beauties:
Aren't they spectacular!?!?
They are in superb condition, I can tell by the soles that they have never been worn!
I doubt I'll be wearing them anytime soon but I am so thrilled just to look at them! :)
Have you found any treasures while thrifting lately?

Thrifty Finds

The awesome shoes are in great condition!
Can't wait to match this necklace with my many pink things!
I don't know if you can tell but these earrings are a really pretty shade of seafoam green.
